Brinc and Animoca Brands announce MedTech & Healthcare accelerator with support from Prenetics and OliveX

    • New MedTech & Healthcare accelerator opens global callout for the most promising startups in the industry with a focus on Web3

    Brinc, a Hong Kong-based venture accelerator, and Animoca Brands, the company advancing digital property rights for gaming and the open metaverse, announced today the launch of their newĀ MedTech & Healthcare accelerator, with the debut cohort commencing in April 2023.

    Successful applicants will receive an investment of up to US$250,000, relevant networking opportunities, and mentoring from Prenetics and OliveX representatives as well as from other leaders in business, medtech, and healthcare. Startups will also be trained to pitch to an audience of sponsors, industry leaders, and investors at the program’s highlight event, the Demo Day.

    Prenetics, a leading genetics and diagnostic health-testing company, will work with Brinc to develop health startup innovation, business models, and disruptive ideas in the Web3 space. Prenetics, OliveX, and other partners will lead mentoring for the new accelerator, sharing insights about the industry, Web3, business development, and other areas integral to startup success.

    Brinc’s MedTech & Healthcare accelerator will focus on areas including but not limited to: women’s health, mental wellness and meditation, fitness (programs, metaverses, virtual and augmented reality, learn to earn), data privacy utilizing blockchain, digital healthcare, devices and wearables.

    The 12-week program will address industry challenges faced by startups in this space such as token design, community building, and fundraising, and will be conducted in an online/offline hybrid model.
