The event also saw Brinc’s Belinda Pham, Web3/Blockchain Portfolio Manager (Hong Kong), join a panel discussion on the benefits and risks that accelerators face during startup growth. “Going through an accelerator program provides product validation, traction, and fundraising opportunities from institutional investors,” she said. “Startups graduating from these programs are on a path to a scalable business model, have early indicators of viability, and — most importantly — growth and adaptation throughout the course and proof of ability to execute.”

To conclude Hong Kong Crypto Week, Brinc and Outlier Ventures co-hosted their Investor Pitch Day on March 31, showcasing the latest exciting Web3 projects. The opener fireside chat, titled What’s Next in the Metaverse?, featured Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, and Walter Jennings, CEO of Asia Insight Circle.

Sebastien Borget, COO and Co-Founder of The Sandbox, shares his thoughts on the metaverse’s future.

Brinc portfolio teams (Another-1, Coinmiles, MetaGameHub DAO, and Sky Meta) were joined by Lost Club Toys and Scrye — all Brinc program graduates — to deliver lively pitches to investors.

The events during Hong Kong Crypto Week offered countless opportunities for those in the Web3 space to network with like-minded individuals and hear the latest from industry leaders who had gathered from across the globe. With renewed excitement, backed by international interest and local government support, the future of Web3 is looking ripe for innovation and growth in the region, with Hong Kong moving full steam ahead.
