Brinc is excited to welcome Wildfire Energy into the Brinc Australia CleanTech accelerator program.

Wildfire Energy is the first cleantech startup to join the Brinc family since we announced our plan to invest in over 1,000 climate-conscious startups in the next 5 years.

Wildfire Energy’s vision is to eliminate landfill by turning waste into renewable energy and hydrogen. Global solid waste generation is over 2 billion tonnes annually and landfills are responsible for over 5% of global greenhouse gas emissions. Wildfire Energy’s solution is called MIHG, a simple process which converts waste into electricity and hydrogen, with negative carbon emissions. Wildfire Energy has developed modular plants which can be rapidly deployed and used to convert waste into renewable energy products at very low cost. This makes Wildfire Energy’s solutions ideally suited for improving waste management in outer urban, regional and remote communities, where landfill is currently the only option.

“The Brinc CleanTech accelerator has proven to be an advantage with the support from dedicated global experts and advisors, which has strengthened our business plan and deployment strategy. The funding from Brinc and Artesian will allow Wildfire Energy to upgrade our pilot plant and finalise commercial designs, taking our company to a whole new level. The MIHG technology is the global leader in the distributed energy from waste industry, enabling the production of cleaner energy and the full benefits of a circular economy to be realised.” said Greg Perkins, Co-founder & Managing Director of Wildfire Energy.

Brinc’s Australia CleanTech program is a 100% online 3-month accelerator, that is uniquely designed to support Australian startups that have fully developed solutions to address the world’s energy and environmental problems, and are ready for commercialization.

The program invests $150,000 AUD into each startup accepted. Brinc will support the teams to facilitate commercial agreements with Australian Energy companies to help scope and secure pilots/POCs, while also opening up growth opportunities locally and internationally for companies. Upon completion of the program, Brinc will continue to support company growth through business development, provide capital raising guidance, and ensure a deep connection to the growing Brinc family of founders globally. Artesian will also provide follow on capital to companies that demonstrate traction.

Brinc accepts CleanTech startups on a rolling basis into the program. New teams will be onboarded throughout the year.

Brinc is a different breed of venture capital and accelerator platform. Core to our business is the belief that some of the world’s biggest challenges can be solved by entrepreneurs, who we like to call GAME CHANGERS. We believe that deep technology focused startups can fundamentally change how we move, what we eat, how we feel and where we live for the better if they are given the right backing. That’s what we at Brinc believe are here for. To support and mentor founders and their teams from across the world and provide investment to help them grow. We currently operate twelve multi-disciplinary accelerator programs across six countries and have made 130 investments. Learn more: https://www.brinc.io/
