Greater Bay Area - New Materials
Overview
Brinc has developed a three month program covering Greater Bay Area, spanning Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Guangzhou, designed to support entrepreneurs who are solving the inefficiencies in the food supply chain by developing new alternatives and better processes.

Packaging is a crucial part of addressing the challenges of sustainable food consumption. Innovative sustainable packaging contributes to reducing food waste by preserving food quality during transportation and handling, enhances food safety by preventing food-borne diseases and food contamination, and also addresses the issue of chronic plastic waste accumulation. We produce 78 million metric tons of plastic packaging globally each year, and only 14% is recycled. This problem remains persistent with the rise of consumption of packaged foods, meal delivery, take-out foods and grocery services, all of which generate considerable packaging waste.

By investing in startups using technology to create innovative and sustainable food packaging alternatives, we hope to minimize the environmental footprint of our food consumption patterns.

Join the leading New Materials program in the heart of Hong Kong and get access to one of the fastest growing urban and population centres in the world, via the Greater Bay Area.
