CarbonBridge is developing carbon-negative, cost-competitive green methanol. CO2 is combined with hydrogen and converted to methanol via a proprietary microbial process. This approach has significantly lower energy intensity and higher outputs than alternative methods. The primary target market is marine fuels, displacing bunker oil and diesel. The founding team brings extensive experience in startups, complex manufacturing, and synthetic biology. Two of the co-founders have worked together prior to this. The company is actively raising a US$750K pre-seed to support further R&D and business development.
